MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown on Friday night.

In the team's final regular-season home match of the 2026 campaign, the Mountaineers (9-4-3, 4-4-2 Big 12) and Horned Frogs were locked in a 90-minute defensive battle where neither team found the back of the net. Despite some quality chances towards the end of the match, neither team could score the go-ahead goal.

The final stats showed a close match, with TCU claiming a narrow lead in shots, 9-7, shots on goal, 3-1, and corner kicks, 5-2. Redshirt senior goalkeeper Bailey Herfurth notched three saves on the way to her and the defense's seventh shutout of the season. Senior midfielder Anna Hauer and junior forward/defender Sophia Nickel paced the offense with two shots apiece.

With the draw, WVU's lead in the all-time series with TCU moves to 10-5-4, as well as 4-2-1 in games played in Morgantown. West Virginia is still seeking its first regular-season win over the Horned Frogs since 2019.

Up next, the Mountaineers prepare to cap the regular season at Cincinnati on Thursday, Nov. 5. Kickoff at Gettler Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, is set for 7 p.m. ET.
