Yehl Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Redshirt junior Maxx Yehl of the West Virginia University baseball team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
Yehl threw a complete game on Friday against No. 7 Kansas, striking out nine while allowing just one run. His performance helped kickstart a sweep of the Jayhawks
The Portville, N.Y. native is currently 7-1 this season with a 2.04 ERA, best in the Big 12. His ERA is also ninth in the nation.
The Mountaineers will be back on the field on Thursday, May 14, to begin a three-game series against TCU, closing out the regular season. First pitch on Thursday is set for 6:30 p.m.
