
Smith Named Student-Athlete of Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Graduate student Sean Smith of the No. 15 West Virginia University baseball team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
In four games, Smith hit .600 (9-for-15) with four doubles, six RBI, and four runs scored as WVU went 3-1 against Marshall and Texas Tech. He had a hit in all four games including a four-hit day on Sunday against the Red Raiders and finished the week with a 1.514 OPS.
The Mountaineers will be back on Wednesday, April 15, against Penn State from Meritus Park in Hagerstown, Maryland. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
