Freshman guard Miles Sadler scored 18 points and handed out six assists in West Virginia's 103-66 exhibition game victory over Glenville State Friday night at the Waco Center in Glenville, West Virginia.
It was the Mountaineers' first-ever visit to Glenville and it came just days after the passing of businessman and philanthropist Ike Morris, who supported both athletic programs.
The school held a brief memorial service honoring Morris beforehand.
Senior forward Brenen Lorient chipped in with 14 points, Martin Somerville contributed 11 off the bench and Mouhamed Sylla and Javan Buchanan scored 10 points each for the Mountaineers.
Thirteen different players got into the game and all but one got into the scoring column.
WVU, which shot 47.2% for the contest, led the Pioneers 48-26 at halftime.
Prince Mosengo paced Glenville State with 17 points.
Tonight's game was the second of three exhibition contests for West Virginia before it opens the regular season against Niagara at Hope Coliseum on Monday, Nov. 2.
Last Sunday, the Mountaineers dropped a 90-81 decision at Maryland in overtime.
West Virginia's preseason tuneup will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. against Wheeling at Hope Coliseum.
The game will be televised on ESPN+ and the Mountaineer Sports Network will carry the contest on stations throughout West Virginia, online via WVUsports.com and the Varsity Network and WVU Gameday apps.
Tickets for the 2026-27 season remain on sale through the Mountaineer Ticket Office and can be purchased by logging on to WVUGAME.com
