November 03, 2025 11:45 AM | Men's Soccer
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Marcus Caldeira of the No. 19 West Virginia University men's soccer team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
Caldeira scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 win over No. 11 Marshall on Oct. 31 at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. It was his eighth and ninth goals of the season and 36th and 37th of his career.
The Mississauga, Ontario native has made a habit of saving some of his best games for the Thundering Herd as he has five career goals against the in-state foe, which included a hat trick in 2023.
WVU concludes the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at South Carolina with kickoff set for 7 p.m. A win and Kentucky loss would clinch a share of the Sun Belt regular-season title for WVU, while a win or tie would secure the right to host the first two rounds of the Sun Belt Tournament as a top-two seed.
