
Men's Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2026 men's soccer schedule.
Coming off their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance, the Mountaineers will play 17 regular season matches, including 10 played at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. WVU will also play three exhibition matches before the season.
The year gets started with a preseason match at home against Pitt on Aug. 7, before hosting West Virginia Tech on Aug. 11. The Mountaineers will close out the preseason at Georgetown on Aug. 14.
West Virginia officially opens the regular season on the road at Charlotte on Thursday, Aug. 20, before playing its home opener against St. Bonaventure on Monday, Aug. 24. The Mountaineers will then hit the road for a contest at UNC Greensboro on Friday, Aug. 28.
Following the opening three-game stretch, the Mountaineers will play five straight games in Morgantown, beginning with a contest against perennial power, Akron, on Thursday, Sept. 3. A game against George Mason on Monday, Sept. 7, precedes a contest against national power, Denver, on Friday, Sept. 11.
West Virginia opens Sun Belt play on Thursday, Sept. 17, against Georgia State before wrapping up its homestand with a game against local foe, Duquesne, on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
The Mountain State Derby against Marshall will take place on Sunday, Sept. 27, in Huntington.
Back home on Saturday, Oct. 3, the Mountaineers will take on South Carolina before hitting the road for a Sun Belt matchup at Old Dominion on Friday, Oct. 9.
West Virginia plays its final non-conference game of the season on Monday, Oct. 12, in the nation's capital against American.
Two straight home games against Kentucky on Friday, Oct. 16, and UCF on Wednesday, Oct. 21 follow before going on the road to take on Georgia Southern on Sunday, Oct. 25. The regular season winds down with the final home match on Thursday, Oct. 29, against Coastal Carolina before concluding the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at James Madison.
