Ty Arlesic is in his first year as a member of the Mountaineer Football staff as the assistant director of scouting.
In his role, he plays a part in scouting and recruiting and assists with the on-campus recruiting process. Arlesic assists in the oversight of the scouting department student assistant program and the management of the portal best-available board throughout the season. He also helps organize the transfer portal prospects, identifying potential transfer options.
Arlesic helps evaluate players on the WVU roster and other Big 12 rosters to analyze and identify strengths and weaknesses of the rosters. He is responsible for the replay tablets on game day and providing assistance to the coaches in the press box.
Arlesic came to West Virginia from Jacksonville State, where he served as a recruiting assistant for a year and as a graduate assistant in the recruiting department for two years.
The native of Steubenville, Ohio, earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State in 2022 and his master’s degree in sports management from Jacksonville State in 2023.
