Sydnie Destifanes joined the WVU Athletics Department staff in July 2025 as assistant director of olympic sports equipment operations.
While pursuing two degrees at West Virginia University, Destifanes served as student manager and equipment manager for the women's basketball program. In these roles, she traveled with the team throughout the season, handling equipment and fulfilling her managerial duties.
While working as a manager for the women's basketball program, Destifanes also assisted in recruiting visits, practices and distributing practice and game film to the coaching staff. Destifanes also worked women's basketball camps throughout the summer, assisting with drills and other events during the camp's duration.
Destifanes earned a B.S. in sport and exercise psychology in 2023 and an M.S. in sport coaching and executive sport management in May 2025 from WVU.
