Nate Black joined West Virginia University athletics in August 2021 as the director of ticket operations.
Black comes to West Virginia from the University of New Mexico, where he was the director of ticketing for the Lobos. He oversaw all facets of daily operations, ensuring compliance with the university, state and local policies. Black was awarded the “Newcomer of the Year” award from Paciolan for his efforts in transitioning the University of New Mexico to mobile and contact-free ticketing, and a new student ticketing process.
After ticket office internship at Michigan State University (2015-2016), he made his way back to Lehigh as the assistant ticket services manager. At Lehigh, Black managed all ticket operations for men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling and other Olympic sports. He led and handled the ticketing for NCAA Wrestling Championships and assisted with coordinating Lehigh’s first ever off campus wrestling match.
Black began his career in collegiate athletics in 2014 as an intern in Lehigh University ticket and marketing office.
The Lehighton, Pennsylvania, native earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from East Stroudsburg University and competed as a decathlete for the men’s track & field team from 2010-12.
He served as a volunteer coach with the Warriors track & field team the following two seasons.
Black resides in Morgantown.
