A-to-Z Guide

50/50 Raffle

  • New for the 2025 season, WVU Athletics will host a 50/50 raffle at every home football game. Fans can purchase tickets and review official rules, regulations, and eligibility requirements at WVUSports.com/5050. The winning ticket number will be announced during the 4th quarter and posted online. Winners should visit Guest Services at either the North or South Concourse to receive the Release of Prize Claim Form. Winners not present at the game may contact Matt Wells at matt.wells@mail.wvu.edu to claim their prize. *Fans must be at least 18 years old and physically located in the state of West Virginia when purchasing a ticket.


Aircraft & Drone Policy

  • The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics asks that you please adhere to FAA policies, per the NOTAM document concerning flight restrictions, for sporting events. No flight operation may take place within three nautical miles, nor up to 3,000 feet around the perimeter of the stadium, from one hour prior to the start of the event until one hour after its completion. These restrictions also apply to all unmanned or remote controlled drone aircrafts. Failure to comply with these restrictions will result in the appropriate legal response from law enforcement officials.

Alcohol

  • Alcoholic beverages and any hard containers (glass bottles/metal cans) may not be brought into Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. Beer and wine sales can be found along the concourses inside the gates.

Almost Heaven Village

  • The Almost Heaven Village is a fun and exciting fan experience area that was introduced in the 2023 season. The fan experience area is located between the Light Blue and Teal parking lots on the East side of Milan Puskar Stadium. The area will be open for all home games this season. The area will be programmed differently depending on each game. The space will feature sponsor activations, music, vendors, games, food/beverage and other activities.  The hours of operation will be from 3 hours and 30 minutes before kickoff and close 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

Artificial Noisemakers

  • Prohibited in Milan Puskar Stadium.

Autographs

  • No one is allowed on the field at any time without proper credentials. There is no organized location for autographs.

Baby Changing Stations

  • Baby changing stations are available in all men, women’s and family stadium concourse restrooms and in all suite and club level restrooms.

Banners and Signs

  • Banners and signs, except those associated with the WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, are not permitted at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Bus Parking

  • Charter buses must purchase a special parking permit for the Green Lot. This permit can be purchased on game day.

Cameras

  • Cameras are permitted in Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.
  • Tripods, selfie sticks, drones and unmanned aerial devices are prohibited.

Charging Stations

  • Mobile phone charging stations are located on the east and west concourses.

Children's Admission

  • All persons, including children and infants, must have a ticket for admission.

Clear Bag Policy

  • See 'Clear Bag Policy'
  • Fans are asked to reduce what they bring to the stadium this season to minimize contact points and bag searches. When security personnel check bags at the gate, they will not be divesting the bags – each fan will be responsible for showing the contents of his/her individual bag. This includes fans removing all items from their bag for inspection as needed. For quicker entry, do not bring bags inside the stadium.

Closed Captioning

  • Closed Captioning will be provided at all home WVU football games. For use and access, please follow this link or scan the QR code shown on the video board before and throughout the game to view directly on your phone.

Concealed Carry

  • Concealed carry is prohibited at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Concessions

  • Concessions stands and portable food carts are located along each concourse and accept the four major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).

Coolers and Containers

  • No coolers, including softsided, metal or glass containers are allowed in the stadium.
  • Soft drinks, water and non-alcoholic beverages in sealed plastic containers are permitted.

Credentials

  • Each credential indicates the areas of Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium in which it will be honored. Credentials must be visible at all times.

Directions

  • From the south - From Interstate 79, take the West Virginia University exit, number 155. Cross the Star City bridge and proceed up Monongahela Boulevard toward the Coliseum. At the Coliseum traffic light, turn left onto Patteson Drive and watch for signs directing you to the stadium. For an alternate route, take Interstate 68 east to exit 7(see east directions below).
  • From the north - From Interstate 79, take the West Virginia University exit, number 155. Cross the Star City bridge and proceed up Monongahela Boulevard toward the Coliseum. At the Coliseum traffic light, turn left onto Patteson Drive and watch for signs directing you to the stadium.
  • From the east - From Interstate 68, use exit 7 (Pierpont Road). From here, follow W.Va. route 857 south approximately one mile until it joins with U.S. 119 south. Follow U.S. 119 south two miles to W.Va. route 705. Turn right on W.Va. route 705 and watch for signs directing you to the stadium.

Disability and Accessibility Information

Elevators

  • Elevators may be used by guests to access different areas of the stadium. 
  • All guests must have proper credentials and/or tickets.
  • Elevators are located at the northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest gates as well as the press box and Touchdown Terrace.

Family FunZone

  • The Family FunZone is an alcohol-free and profanity-free, family-friendly area located in section 133.

Family Restroom

  • An all-gender restroom is located on the west and east concourses.

Fan First Concessions:

  • WVU is offering 3 items at a discounted rate for all fans to enjoy. They are:
    • $3 Popcorn
    • $3 Fountain Drink
    • $3.50 Pepperoni Roll
  • All three of these items can be purchased in the following stands:

First Aid

  • Stations are located on the east and west concourses and in the north end zone.  Contact an event staff member or police for assistance.

Food Allergies

  • Please be advised that food prepared here may contain the following ingredients: milk, eggs, wheat, soybean, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish.

Gate Openings

  • Gates open 90 minutes (1 1/2 hours) before game time unless otherwise advertised.
  • Suite gates open two hours before game time unless otherwise advertised. The east gate is a student-only gate.
  • A dedicated United Bank entry is located at the west and north gates.
  • Fans are allowed access to these particular entrances by showing their United Bank ATM or check card along with their game ticket.

Golf Cart Courtesy Shuttle

  • Golf cart shuttles are available to assist guests with disabilities, elderly or injured patrons and one companion.

Guest Services

  • A guest service room is located in the south concourse near sections 97 and 134 and on the north end zone concourse. This rooms handles lost and found, lost children, emergencies and general ticket information. Fans may also report problems or make suggestions on a special form available from the attendant.

Guest With Disabilities

  • General wheelchair seating is located behind sections 100 and 131 and at various locations along the east, west and north concourses.WVU student wheelchair seating is located at the top of sections 109 and 110. Tickets should be purchased in advance for all areas and are reserved to persons confined to a wheelchair and their guest.

Hall of Traditions

  • The Football Hall of Traditions is located in the Milan Puskar Center and is open to the public during home football games starting three hours prior to kickoff and ending 30 minutes prior to the start of the game. The Football Hall of Traditions is also open to the public Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Hearing Impaired

  • Stadium listening devices are available for hearing-impaired guests at Guest Services on the north concourse.

THE HIGH 5 Rules of the Game

  •  Follow THE HIGH 5 rules to make game day a great day for everyone.
    • No excessive drinking – intoxicated fans are not allowed inside or outside the stadium.
    • No foul or abusive language.
    • No smoking in the seating or concourse areas.
    • No throwing stuff (anything) onto the field.
    • No ignoring of the instructions of Event/Security personnel.

Inclement Weather

  • In the event of inclement weather approaching Milan Puskar Stadium, public address and video announcements will be made to update fans on the situation. Should a lightning strike occur within close proximity of the stadium, play will be suspended immediately. Play will resume 30 minutes after the last strike occurs within the threat radius. Fans are required to exit the seating areas and seek shelter in the concourse, restrooms, and their vehicles during weather delays. All ticket stubs should be kept for re-entry into the stadium after the weather threat has cleared. Updates may also be communicated via WVUsports.com and on X at @GamedayWVU.

Kids Zone

  • The Kids Zone is located in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility. Admission is free and open to the public during home football games, starting two- and one-half hours prior to kickoff and ending 30 minutes before kickoff. The Kids Zone features games, inflatables, face painting/balloon artistry, football pass and catch and much more.

Lost and Found

  • Lost and found is maintained during the game at the Guest Services Rooms, located in the south concourse and the north end zone concourse. All unclaimed items will be available at the Rhino Sports and Entertainment Services office (304-782-6644) on the next business day.

Lost Children

  • In case of a lost child, please contact one of the Guest Services Rooms, located in either the south or north end zone concourses. Contact event staff member or police for assistance. Wristbands are available at all guest services locations, including kiosks outside the stadium at each gate. Parents may obtain wristbands for their children that denotes the parent(s)’ name(s), phone, and seat location.

Merchandise

  • Team Shops are located on the west concourse and on the northeast plaza (inside the stadium) and outside the stadium near the north and northeast gates.

Metal Detectors

Mountaineer Mantrip

  • The Mountaineer Mantrip will take place before each home game and will begin when the team is dropped off approximately two (2) hours and 30 minutes before kickoff at the corner of Don Nehlen Drive and Med Center Drive, the original Mantrip location. The team will proceed up the sidewalk to the northeast gate of Milan Puskar Stadium. Fans are encouraged to greet the team along the path.

Nursing Mothers

  • A mother’s nursing room is available at the north end zone concourse adjacent to the ATM. This room features comfortable seating and baby changing station.

Parking

  • University parking
    • Parking operated by West Virginia University in the general area of the stadium is sold on a season basis and requires a color-coded permit, which matches the designated areas. The Green Garage and Gold lots are available for single game sales. Small tents may be erected in designated areas only and may not be larger than 10’ x 10’. A parking permit for the designated lot is required to erect a tent and the vehicle must be parked adjacent to the tent. Tents may only be erected after 7 a.m. on game day (excluding weekday games). Open fires are prohibited. Games involving the consumption of alcohol are prohibited.
  • Blue Lot parking
    • Blue Lot vehicle permit holders will have unrestricted parking (ability to choose parking space) from 7 a.m. until four hours before game time.
    • Free parking – Free car parking is available at the WVU Coliseum.
  • ADA parking
    • In order to assure proper use of ADA spaces on game day, the following will be required for admission to the appropriate lot: 1) WVU-issued color-coded parking permit; 2) valid state-issued ADA parking placard or license plate; 3) valid state-issued ADA parking registration card; 4) photo ID of the ADA permit holder who is present in the automobile (the photo ID must match the ADA parking registration card). ADA permit holders will be required to park in the spots reserved for ADA parking only. Limited single game ADA parking may be available in the Brown or Green Lot; a courtesy shuttle van for guests with disabilities is available from the Brown and Green Lots. Blue lot ADA parking is self-accommodating. Misuse of ADA parking passes is grounds for confiscation of the pass by the parking attendant.
  • All parking lots are cashless.

Portable Heaters

  • Per the Office of the State Fire Marshall, all portable heaters are prohibited inside the stadium due to the risk of starting a fire

Portable Stadium Seats

  • Portable stadium seats no larger than 16” are allowed as long as they are armless and do not overhang the bleacher or infringe on the seat space of those around you. Rental stadium seatbacks are available on the east and west concourses. These may be rented for the season. Call 866-704-2478 or visit https://www.seatbacks.com/main.aspx?school=mountaineerseat for more information. To guarantee placement, orders must be placed by 12:00 p.m. (noon) the Wednesday before each Saturday game.

Prohibited Items

  • To ensure the safety, comfort, and convenience of our guests, the following items may not be brought into the stadium: coolers, laser pointers, alcoholic beverages, artificial noisemakers, aerosol and spray cans, mace and pepper sprays, selfie sticks, umbrellas, weapons, and any other items determined to be harmful or disruptive. A ‘size-wise’ box is available at each gate and guest services location to determine if a bag or chairback is permitted.

Public Address

  • No special announcements are made over the public address system.

Recreational Vehicles

  • Recreational vehicles are permitted in University-operated lots but require a special RV permit, including the Coliseum lots. Vehicles that are 20 feet or longer are considered RVs. Trailers are permitted but in the Green, Red and Coliseum lots only. Overnight parking for RVs is allowed but a permit must be visible at all times. Front Row RVs must be parked before lots open at 7 a.m. on game day. General RVs must be parked two hours prior to kickoff.

Recycling

  • Single-stream recycling bins are located throughout the stadium. The following items may be recycled:
    • Paper
    • Cardboard
    • Aluminum
    • Plastics #1-7
    • Glass
  • The following items may not be recycled:
    • Food & liquid waste
    • Styrofoam
    • Plastic bags
    • Paper towels/Napkins

Restrooms

  • Restrooms are located on the east and west concourses and in the north and south bowl concourses.

Rideshare

  • A dedicated rideshare/taxi pick-up/drop-off point is located at United Bank Suncrest - 990 Elmer Prince Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505.

Ruby Memorial Hospital

  • Ruby Memorial Hospital will be closed to the general public during West Virginia home football games. Staff and families of patients will need to obtain passes in advance to gain admission to the hospital during games. Hospital personnel called to work on an emergency basis should alert the state police by calling *SP on their cell phones as they approach the hospital. Emergency traffic should access the hospital via Elmer Prince Drive.

Scalping/Resale of Tickets

  • The scalping of tickets on University property is forbidden. Violators are subject to removal from University property. No solicitation of any kind is permitted in the parking lots or stadium.  Individuals discovered soliciting will be asked to cease or face removal. The student newspaper is allowed to distribute at the student gate only.

Scoreboard Messages

  • The deadline for fan greeting requests and scoreboard messages is the Monday prior to each home game. For questions, please contact Athletics Marketing at 304.293.3086 ext. 1.

Security Screening

  • All patrons of Milan Puskar Stadium will be subjected to a security screening upon entry via walkthrough metal detectors. Guests will not need to remove items such as phones, keys, or wallets from their pockets and will carry any bags (following the guidelines of the Clear Bag Policy) through the detectors. Guests are encouraged to arrive to the stadium early to avoid delays. Please proceed through the detectors one at a time, at a normal pace.
  • If you need additional screening, an event staff member will direct you to a secondary screening area using a handheld metal detector wand.
  • The walkthrough metal detectors are not wheelchair accessible. Anyone who is unable to pass through the metal detector will be directed to the secondary screening area using an accessible entrance at the Southeast or Southwest gates.

Service Animals

  • Only service animals assisting guests with disabilities will be allowed in Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Shuttle Service

  • ADA Parking - Due to ongoing construction at Ruby Memorial Hospital, the Blue Lot is self-accommodating ADA parking spaces. No shuttle will run from the Blue Lot to the stadium gates.
  • Coliseum/Evansdale Campus – There is no shuttle service from the WVU Coliseum. However, Free parking is available at the WVU Coliseum and throughout the Evansdale Campus.
  • City buses – Shuttles depart continuously from the Mountaineer Mall, beginning two hours before kickoff and as necessary after the game.  They will drop at Ruby Memorial Hospital The roundtrip fee is $3.
  • PRT – The Personal Rapid Transit System (PRT) operates continuously on game days.  Stations are located on Walnut Street, Beechurst Avenue, Engineering Sciences Building, the Evansdale Residential Complex (the Towers), and the Health Sciences Center. This service is free on game days.

Smoking Policy

  • Smoking/vaping are prohibited in the seating areas, aisles, concourses or restrooms in Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. Fans may smoke only in designated smoking areas.

Solicitation

  • Selling of any items by anyone other than authorized WVU personnel or designated vending personnel in or around Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium and the parking areas is prohibited.

Stadium Re-Entry

  • Stadium re-entry is not permitted.

Strollers

  • Strollers are permitted but must be checked at guest services.

Student Entry

  • All WVU students should enter through the designated gates at the east side.

Tailgating

Ticket Information

  • The ticket office is located outside the north gate of Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium and opens two hours prior to kickoff. Game day sales are available. WVU is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced tickets. There are no refunds or exchanges.

Traffic Information

  • Please note that primary routes have priority during postgame traffic. Please stay on primary routes postgame. Secondary routes will be held until priority routes are cleared.

Umbrellas

  • For the safety and convenience of all fans, umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium.

Will Call

  • The public will call window is located at the ticket booth outside of the north gate and opens two hours before kickoff. A photo ID is required. WVU Player Guest will call is located adjacent to the southwest gate. Visiting Player Guest will call is located adjacent to the southeast gate.

Wireless Access Points

  • Additional wireless access points have been installed near the NE, NW, SE and SW gates to help fans download their mobile tickets on gameday.
