Parking Policies
Parking, operated by the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, in the general area of the stadium is sold on a season basis for members of the Mountaineer Athletic Club and requires a color-coded permit. For more information on how you can become eligible for permit parking, please contact the Mountaineer Athletic Club at 304-293-2294.
Season permit lots include the following lots: Blue, Light Blue, Green, Teal, Brown, Red, Silver, Blue Auxiliary and Light Blue Auxiliary RV.
ADA Accessible Parking
RV parking
- RV Permit Lots Parking Times:
- Blue Lot General RV Parking Lot E, C2, C6, C8 (except 19 - 8 p.m.) C10, Spaces 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 in Lot D - Friday 8 a.m.
- Green RV parking 5 p.m. on Friday.
- Light Blue RV Parking – Friday 8 p.m.
- Light Blue Auxiliary RV Parking (by Chateau Royale) – Friday 12 p.m. (noon)
- Red RV Parking (Law School) – Friday 3 p.m.
- Single Game RV Lots Parking Times and Cost:
- Black RV parking (Coliseum Lot) – Friday 8 a.m. - No Permit needed (Pay the Parking Attendant upon arrival)
- RVs must be clear from the lots operated by West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by 12 p.m. (noon) the day following the game (excluding weeknight games). For more information on RV parking please contact the Game Day Parking Office at 304-293-5649.
- To purchase RV passes please contact the WVU Ticket Office at 304-293-3541. All RV lots require an RV specific pass purchased through the WVU Ticket Office, except the Black lot. Black lot passes are available on a first come basis, you will pay the attendant upon arrival.
- Recreational vehicles are 20 feet or longer.
Bus parking
- Bus parking is available in the Black Lot (Coliseum) on gameday. Please note that prices will vary by game as noted in the pricing chart below. For more information on bus parking, please contact the Game Day Parking Office at 304-293-5649.
Single Game Parking (Vehicles)
- Green Garage, Green Garage ADA, Green Lot ADA, Brown Lot ADA, and the Black RV Lot are available on a first come first serve basis on gameday only and are not for sale in advance of the game. Limited spaces are available.
- Complimentary ADA Shuttles will run from the Green and Brown Lots to the Southeast and Southwest gates on gameday beginning 2.5 hours prior to kickoff, and, as necessary, after the game to return ADA passengers to the lot. No shuttle will be provided to or from the Coliseum lot."
- Tailgating is not permitted in the Green Garage.
- All single game parking sales on gameday are credit card only. Cash will not be accepted.
Parking/Tailgating policies
- Parking lots operated by the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics open at 7 a.m. for Saturday games.
- Any vehicles, with or without a permit, left in permit lots before 7 a.m. on game day will be towed.
- All RVs must be removed by 12:00 p.m. (noon) the day following a game (excludes weeknight games where all vehicles and RVs must exit the lots immediately following the game).
- The original parking permit holder is responsible for any tailgate activity that is conducted while using that parking permit.
- Small canopies may be erected in designated areas only and may not be larger than 10'x10'. All canopies must be secured. A parking permit for the designated lot is required to erect a canopy and the vehicle must be parked adjacent to such canopy. Parking permit holders may only erect canopies after 7 a.m. on game day. Canopies may not obstruct sidewalks, drive lanes or pedestrian walkways.
- Open fires are prohibited.
- Trailers are permitted in the Light Blue Auxiliary RV, Red and Green lots only.
- Car passes may not be upgraded to RV passes.
- RV passes may not be used for cars (only for weeknight games).
- Vans 19' and under are considered cars.
- Please observe and obey instructions from parking attendants when parking your vehicle. Vehicles will be able to occupy only the area necessary for parking as space permits.
- Parking is first come, first served. Saving spots is prohibited.
- RV parking is designated in specific areas for parking lots.
- Commercial cargo-type trucks are not permitted in any lot.
- Music must be turned off or turned down by 11 p.m. to be respectful to other surrounding neighborhoods.
- Beverage kegs or excessive alcohol is not permitted in or around the stadium.
- Games involving the consumption of alcohol are not permitted.
- Individuals are responsible for compliance with all local and state laws governing alcohol consumption.
- Any person damaging University property will be responsible for cost of repairs.
- Ticket scalping or solicitation of any kind is not permitted in the parking lots.
- Pets are not allowed to run at large in tailgating sites or on campus and must be leashed at all times according to local leash laws. Furthermore animals shall not be left unattended or secured to university property. Please clean up after your pet.
- Dispose of all trash in receptacles located in tailgating areas.
- Removal of any barricade, barrel or other traffic control devices is prohibited.
- The original owner of the parking pass is responsible for any tailgate activity that is conducted while this permit is in use.
- The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics may revoke the parking pass, eject, or refuse entry to Holder, and/or take further action for failure to comply with terms and conditions, WVU or venue policies and procedures, or illegal activity. Holder voluntarily assumes all risk of personal injury or damage to property arising out of attending the event and further agrees that WVU and/or its employees or agents shall not be responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss suffered as a result of Holder attending the event.
- West Virginia University is not responsible or liable for accidents, damage, loss or theft of materials, items or personal property brought into our parking areas.
ADA Parking & Transportation
Single Game ADA Parking
- Single game parking, operated by the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, is available in the following lots:
- ADA accessible shuttles run from the Green Lot on Van Voorhis Road to the Southeast and Southwest gates at the stadium, which are the same ADA drop off locations as in past seasons
- ADA shuttles are reserved for guests with disabilities, elderly or injured patrons and one companion.
- Shuttles run continuously beginning two and one-half hours before kickoff and, as necessary, after the game to return ADA passengers to the Green Lot.
- Limited single game ADA accessible parking may be available for purchase on gameday in the Brown Lot (ADA accessible shuttle provided). This shuttle drops off at the Southeast and West Gate.
- In order to assure proper use of ADA accessible spaces on gameday in permit lots, the following will be required for admission to the appropriate lot:
- WVU-issued color-coded parking permit;
- Valid state-issued ADA parking placard or license plate;
- Valid state-issued ADA parking registration card;
- Photo ID of the ADA permit holder who is present in the automobile (the photo ID must match the ADA parking registration card);
- Guests with season parking permits must have an ADA sticker in order to access ADA parking;
- ADA permit holders will be required to park in the spots reserved for ADA parking only.
- Misuse of ADA parking passes is grounds for confiscation of the pass by the parking attendant.
An ADA accessible shuttle service is available in the Brown Lot and Green Garage Lot. Blue Lot ADA parking is self-accommodating (shuttle unavailable).
