
Mountaineers Shoot -6 on Moving Day

MARANA, Ariz. – The West Virginia University golf team shot 6-under-par on moving day to jump two spots in the team standings during the second round of the NCAA Marana Regional at The Gallery Golf Club in Marana, Arizona, on Tuesday.
Senior Kaleb Wilson and freshman Jack Michael led the way with both shooting 3-under-par. Wilson is now +2 and Michael +3 with 18 holes remaining. Senior Westy McCabe shot 1-under-par to remain in the top 20 tied for 17th place at 4-under-par for the tournament. Sophomore Nick Turowski was +1 and is now -1 after 36 holes in 27th place. Sophomore Ryan Leach shot +3 on Tuesday.
The Mountaineers jumped two spots in the team standings and now stand in eighth place at Even par. WVU is seven shots behind Clemson and six shots ahead of Saint Mary's in the 14-team regional.
West Virginia's final round will begin Wednesday morning with tee times, starting at 10:55 a.m. ET (7:55 a.m. local time).
