
Rowing Set for Lake Wheeler Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rowing team travels to Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 24-25, for the Lake Wheeler Invitational.
The regatta, hosted by Duke and North Carolina, will feature Alabama, Boston College, Clemson, Georgetown, George Washington, High Point, Lehigh, Louisville, Miami (Fla.), Navy, Oklahoma, SMU, Villanova and Virginia, as well as Big 12 Conference member Kansas and affiliates Old Dominion and Tulsa.
The Mountaineers are set to race their 1V8, 2V8, 1V4, 2V4, 3V4 and 3V8 this weekend. Competition for WVU will start with Round 1 on Friday at 9:40 a.m., followed by Round 2 beginning at 2:35 p.m. Round 3 opens Saturday morning at 9:20 a.m., with the final race scheduled for approximately 11:20 a.m.
The Lake Wheeler Invitational marks the third meeting this season between West Virginia and Old Dominion. Other repeat opponents include Boston College, High Point, Kansas, Louisville, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina, SMU and Tulsa, each meeting the Mountaineers for the second time this season.
Fans can watch the regatta on ESPN+ Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., Friday afternoon at 2:15 p.m. and Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Results from the Lake Wheeler Invitational will be available here. Team scoring will updated here.
Parking and spectator access will be available at Lake Wheeler Park. Parking is $20 per day and credit card only. The parking area opens at 7 a.m. each day.
