MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University golf team sits in second place after 36 holes of competition at the Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, West Virginia, on Monday.

The Mountaineers are at 7-under-par, one shot behind No. 36 Clemson for first place. No. 5 Arkansas is -6, No. 8 Texas Tech is -5, No. 5 Oklahoma State is -3 and No. 38 TCU is +2 in the 19-team field.

Jack Michael and Ryan Leach are tied for seventh place at 3-under-par, while Nick Turowski is in 15^th place at -1 and Kaleb Wilson is in 19^th place at Even par. Harrison Thompson is +8 after 36 holes. Oklahoma State's Preston Stout leads the field at -8.

West Virginia has four individuals competing – Aidan Dortch is +3 and Gabe Schmitz is +8. Brody Burgess and Westy McCabe did not finish due to darkness and will complete round two at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Round three will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m. with tee times on No. 1 and No. 10. West Virginia's team golfers will tee off from 9:40 to 10:20 a.m.
