MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia University women's basketball team defeated Purdue Fort Wayne, 83-47, to begin the 2025-26 campaign on Monday at Hope Coliseum in Morgantown.

The game marks the start of the third season of coach Kellogg's tenure at West Virginia. In 20 seasons as a head coach, Kellogg owns a career record of 495-136 (.784), which makes him the fourth-winningest active Division I coach in the country by win percentage with 10+ seasons.
