
West Virginia Jumps into AP Top 25 Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team is ranked for the first time this season in the AP Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll, released on Monday.
West Virginia is ranked No. 23 in the third edition of the poll. The return to the top 25 is the first for the Mountaineers since being ranked in every poll last season.
WVU earned 106 points in the poll. Five Big 12 teams appeared in the rankings, including No. 7 Baylor (557), No. 10 TCU (521), No. 12 Iowa State (411) and No. 18 Oklahoma State (239).
West Virginia returns to the floor on Thursday, Nov. 20, when it welcomes Appalachian State to Hope Coliseum for Education Day. Tipoff is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. ET.
