
Rowing Returns to Head of the Occoquan

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rowing team will compete on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Head of the Occoquan, hosted by the Occoquan Boat Club, in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
 
The regatta will take place at the Occoquan Reservoir in Sandy Run Regional Park with entries consisting of Bryn Mawr, Duquesne, George Mason, George Washington, Georgetown, High Point, Loyola (Md.), Old Dominion, Robert Morris, St Mary's (Md.) and Virginia Tech.
 
WVU will field two out of 18 entries in the Varsity 8+, two out of 11 entries in the JV 8+, three out of 22 entries in the Varsity 4+ and two out of 14 entries in the JV 4+.
 
Spectators must park at the remote parking location, free of charge, and take the shuttle. Allow 40 minutes of travel time from parking to arriving at Sandy Run Park. The cost of the shuttle is $10 each (cash only, 12 years and younger are free) for the round trip.
