
Mountaineers Cap Regular Season Against Cincinnati

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 19-ranked West Virginia University women's soccer team is set to conclude the regular season against Cincinnati on Thursday, Oct. 30. Kickoff at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is slated for 7 p.m. ET.
 
Celebrate the regular-season finale with a spooky twist! We're kicking off Halloween early with Tricks and Kicks! All fans are encouraged to celebrate the holiday by coming to the game in costume, and candy will be given out throughout the match. Masks are not permitted inside the stadium.
 
Single-game tickets are available to purchase in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com or calling 1-800-WVU GAME. When purchasing online, tickets are $10 each. Any remaining tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for youth and seniors at the stadium ticket window on match day.
 
WVU student tickets also will be made available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The office, as well as the stadium gates, opens at 6 p.m., on game day. WVU students are admitted for free with a valid WVU Student I.D.
 
Andrew Caridi and Michael Minnich will have the call of Thursday's contest on ESPN+. The game also can be heard on 91.7 FM (WWVU) in Morgantown, and live stats are available at WVUsports.com.
 
Thursday's matchup marks the fifth all-time meeting between West Virginia and Cincinnati, as the Mountaineers hold a 3-0-1 advantage in the series. WVU has beaten Cincinnati in every matchup but one, an Oct. 23, 2023, contest which resulted in a 1-1 draw. The two teams last met in 2024, with the Mountaineers coming away with a 2-1 win in Cincinnati. Taylor White scored the first goal in the match, while AJ Rodriguez scored the game winner.
 
Last time out, West Virginia earned a 2-0 win over Oklahoma State at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown on Oct. 26. The Mountaineers added a tally in each half, both coming from corner kicks. Freshman midfielder Ava Arnold scored the first goal, and eventual game winner, while junior Abbey Olexa scored the second goal. Junior midfielder Anna Hauer was credited with an assist on both goals, while senior forward Ajanae Respass also assisted Olexa's goal.
 
West Virginia dominated the final box score, leading 27-1 in shots, 8-0 in shots on goal and 13-2 in corner kicks. The Mountaineer defense registered their 10th shutout of the season and second in a row, holding the Cowgirls to just one shot and zero on goal.
 
White leads the team with 10 goals, seven assists and 27 points on the year. She ranks No. 3 in the Big 12 and No. 16 nationally in total points this season. She is the first Mountaineer to tally double-digit goals in a season since Michaela Abam scored 10 in 2017.
 
Erica Demers is in her third year as the head women's soccer coach at Cincinnati. The Bearcats enter Thursday's matchup with a 5-7-6 record so far in 2025, with the squad coming off a 3-0 win against Iowa State on Oct. 26. Coley Sidloski leads the Bearcat's offense so far this season with four goals and 11 points. In goal, Camryn Miller has registered 70 saves on the year.
