Thayne Bukowski joined the Mountaineer coaching staff as an offensive analyst in January 2025.
The Crown Point, Indiana, native arrived in Morgantown from Jacksonville State where he served as the director of skill development from 2022-24. In his role with the Gamecocks, Bukowski helped run the skill development program. He oversaw the development of football skills as well as speed and agility, while utilizing technology to monitor player's performance and look at trends during the offeseason.
Prior to Jacksonville State, Bukowski had a two-year stint at LSU as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant and spent one season at Baylor as a part-time assistant athletics performance coach in 2019.
He started his strength and conditioning career at Purdue as an intern where he worked with the football program before spending time with South Carolina football.
Bukowski, a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), graduated with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Purdue in 2019 and earned his master’s degree in kinesiology with a focus in motor behavior from LSU in 2022.
