Fabia Dillon joined the WVU athletics staff in January 2025 as its associate athletics director for strategic finance and budget and is responsible for assisting with the overall management of the athletics business office, while also providing personnel oversight of the athletics business office and managing the department’s budget on a day-to-day basis.
Additionally, Dillon assists in the development of the annual revenue and expense budget for athletics.
Fabia comes to WVU from Bradley University where she most recently was its associate athletic director for finance and business operations. In addition to serving on Bradley’s senior leadership team, she managed all athletic budgets and support for its daily operations. Her role included responsibility for strategic decision-making regarding Bradley’s financial operations.
Her stint at Bradley also included serving as the school’s associate head track and field coach where she worked with the team’s sprinters, jumpers and mid-distance.
Prior to Bradley, Dillon worked as a personal accountant in Heidelberg University’s School of Business while assisting with the track and field team.
Dillon earned her bachelor’s degree in social work and business from Ole Miss in 2015 and received her Master of Business Administration/Finance degree from Heidelberg in 2019.
Known as Fabia McDonald when she competed at Ole Miss, she was a four-time All-American performer in the pentathlon and heptathlon, was runner-up in the 2012 SEC Championships and was named Freshman Field Athlete of the Year in 2011.
Originally from Chicago and recently married, Fabia and her husband, Kyle, reside in Morgantown with their dog Jax.
