David Stout joined the West Virginia University’s athletics maintenance staff in May 2025 as a trade specialist and assists in the daily operations of the Mountaineers’ 18 intercollegiate sports.
He has extensive experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment repair, having previously worked as an industrial mechanic at McCall Farms in Effingham, South Carolina.
Stout was also an HVAC technician at AirPro Comfort Systems in Florence, South Carolina, and worked for PWP Industries in Mineral Wells, West Virginia, after completing a four-year stint in the United States Marine Corps.
Most recently, he served as a corrections officer at North Central Regional Jail.
He currently resides in Fairmont, West Virginia.
