Ben McClain joined the athletics maintenance staff in March 2024 and assists in the daily operations of the Mountaineers’ 18 intercollegiate sports.
McClain previously worked in the plumbing shop for WVU Facility Management and has extensive experience in various trades, including plumbing, mechanical maintenance, carpentry, and operating heavy equipment.
His professional experience also includes working as a heavy equipment operator, operating a local handyman service and serving as facilities manager and supervisor for Pete Dye Golf Club.
He has degrees from Bridgeport Technical Center and University of Northwest Ohio in mechanic operations.
He resides in Morgantown with his wife Raven, their dog and two cats.
