Alexa Miley joined the West Virginia University Athletics ticketing team in May 2021 and currently serves as the Director of Revenue Generation for the Learfield Amplify WVU property. In her role, she leads revenue strategy and execution across ticket sales, overseeing staff development, sales performance, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sustainable growth.
Since joining WVU, Miley has steadily advanced through the organization, previously serving as Sales Manager, Senior Account Executive, and Account Executive. She has played a key role in generating significant ticket revenue, surpassing individual and team sales goals while contributing to over $1 million in annual property EBITDA. Known for her strategic mindset and relationship driven approach, Miley has secured major partnerships and long-term commitments that support both revenue generation and donor engagement initiatives.
In her current position, Miley manages and mentors a team of sales professionals, leads recruiting and training efforts, and collaborates closely with athletics administration, marketing, and ticket operations to develop data-driven sales strategies and priority programs. She also contributed to high-level organizational initiatives, including contract expansion efforts and strategic alignment during the transition to in-house NIL operations with Gold & Blue Enterprises.
Prior to her work with WVU Athletics, Miley gained experience in marketing and digital strategy as a social media and marketing manager with Anytime Fitness, where she focused on brand growth and audience engagement.
A native of Pottstown, Miley earned both her master of science in sport management and bachelor of science in athletic coaching education, with a minor in strength and conditioning, from West Viriginia University. While completing her graduate degree, she served as a graduate assistant in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, supporting student success initiatives and recruitment efforts.
Miley also has a background in coaching, having served as an assistant coach for Morgantown High School’s girls’ lacrosse team and previously leading the WVU club lacrosse program.
