Kathleen Hardy joined the Mountaineer Rowing Program as a graduate assistant coach in 2024.
Hardy came to WVU after serving as a volunteer assistant coach and assistant coach for three summers at the Milwaukee Rowing Club, working with more than 40 high school athletes. She oversaw team workouts and supervised practices on the water and on land. She taught stroke fundamentals and assisted with daily practice routines.
Hardy competed for four successful seasons at Seattle University (2021-24), racing with the 2V8+ and 1V8+ boats. After two seasons on the 2V8+ boat, she was moved to the 1V8+ boat in 2022 before receiving her captain nomination in 2023-24.
She is a member of the 2024 cohort within the CRCA Academy of Future Coaches and is a US Rowing certified level two coach.
Hardy graduated from Seattle with a bachelor’s degree in international studies in 2024.
