Pozos Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's soccer senior forward Pablo Pozos has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week after tallying eight points in two wins for the Mountaineers.
Against George Mason, Pozos converted a penalty to tie up the game in the 76th minute before WVU scored the winner a few minutes later.
Pozos had the biggest game of his career against Denver, scoring two goals and dishing out two assists in a 5-0 win over the Pioneers. It was his fourth game as a Mountaineer scoring multiple goals and the first time in his career that he had multiple goals and assists in the same contest.
The big week from Pozos helped the Mountaineers get to 3-1-1 overall this season as WVU turns its attention to Sun Belt action against Georgia State on Thursday, Sept. 17. Kickoff from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
