MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University volleyball coach Jen Greeny has announced the addition of Eleanor Beavin as an assistant coach.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Beavin joins WVU after a standout playing career at the University of Kentucky and a rapidly rising trajectory in the coaching and player-development space. A former DS/Libero for the Wildcats, she competed in the SEC from 2021–2024 and graduated with a degree in journalism with a minor in coaching. Her collegiate résumé includes SEC Libero of the Year, All-SEC honors, AVCA Southeast All-Region recognition and career totals of 1,492 digs and 119 service aces.
"We are very excited to have Eleanor join the West Virginia Volleyball family!" Greeny said. "As a proven winner, Eleanor brings a great deal of experience at the highest level. She will be critical in training our passing and floor defense, and we are thrilled to have her on staff."
Beavin brings a strong technical background to Morgantown, with extensive experience in defensive training, serve-receive development, and video/statistical analysis through Volleymetrics. Her coaching path includes roles with Lexington United Volleyball Club, All-American Volleyball Camps and the University of Kentucky's summer camp system, where she led high school teams, created practice plans and coached across all skill areas. She has delivered private training sessions for athletes ages 12–16 and run clinics for high schools and club programs in both Lexington and Louisville.
Most recently, Beavin served as Recruiting Coordinator and Program Manager at Alpha Performance Volleyball Club, where she supported athletes in their college recruiting process, managed clinics and events and assisted national-level teams with training and organizational needs. Her leadership experience also includes participation in SAAC, the Kentucky Athletic Leadership Conference and the Wildcats' team leadership council.
