
Six Mountaineers Set to Compete at 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Six Mountaineers from the West Virginia University wrestling team are set to compete in the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships on March 19-21, at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.
All sessions will be streamed on ESPN+. Select sessions will be on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. Tickets are available for purchase here. West Virginia has its most NCAA qualifiers since it sent six to the championships in 2023. In seven seasons under head coach Tim Flynn, West Virginia has finished the championships with at least one All-American six times.
The Mountaineers aim for their third consecutive top-20 finish at the NCAA Championships this year after placing 18th in 2025 and 17th in 2024. West Virginia has not had three-straight top-20 finishes at the championships since it placed in the top-20 four years in a row in 2002-05.

Redshirt senior Jordan Titus makes his fourth career appearance at the NCAA Championships, becoming just the 16th Mountaineer in program history to do so. Redshirt sophomore Ty Watters returns to the championships for the first time since he placed fourth at 149 pounds in 2024 to earn All-America honors as a freshman.
Graduate student Jett Strickenberger and redshirt junior Ian Bush make return appearances. Freshman Gunner Andrick and redshirt freshman Rune Lawrence will make their NCAA Championships debuts.
