MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia men's and women's swimming and diving teams host Loyola (Md.) in a dual meet at 1 p.m. on Sunday at The Peak Health Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown.
This is the first action for the Mountaineers since they split a dual meet against Delaware in Newark, Delaware, on Oct. 18. The men's swimming and diving team won (1-0), 162.50-137.50, while the women's swimming and diving team (1-1) lost, 91-209.
West Virginia has had significant contributions from freshmen on the team, with freshman Jake Salcedo leading the way. Salcedo won two individual events against Delaware, as he set a pool record for Rawstrom Natatorium and swam the third-fastest time in program history while winning the 1000-yard freestyle (9:14.42).

Senior Gabriela Martin is having a fantastic 2025-26 campaign. She was named the Big 12 Women's Swimmer of the Week following her performance against Delaware, where she won the 100-yard freestyle (50.66) and placed second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.84).
In the diving well, Auburn transfer sophomore David Hatt has achieved three top-two finishes. He won 1-meter (292.88) against Delaware.
