Hauer Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After helping the Mountaineers earn a pair of wins last week, junior midfielder Anna Hauer of the West Virginia University women's soccer team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
Hauer tallied four total points across the two games, including one goal and two assists. First in a 1-0 win over Iowa State on Oct. 23, she scored the game winner in the 22nd minute to record WVU's lone goal in the contest.
Then, on Oct. 26, she helped West Virginia tally a 2-0 win over Oklahoma State with assists on both of WVU's goals in the match. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Hauer took the two corner kicks that led to Mountaineer goals in the match. She led the offense last week with five total shots, two shots on goal, one goal and two assists.
WVU officially concludes the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 30, welcoming Big 12 foe Cincinnati to Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The Mountaineers will celebrate Halloween at the match as part of its Tricks and Kicks Night, and kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET.
