Lawrence Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Redshirt freshman Rune Lawrence of the West Virginia University wrestling team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
Lawrence (197) defeated Oklahoma's No. 11 DJ Parker by fall on Sunday as No. 22 West Virginia defeated No. 16 Oklahoma, 19-17.
The pin sealed the victory for the Mountaineers as they beat OU for the second consecutive season for the first time since joining the Big 12 Conference.
This marked Lawrence's third fall of the season and his fourth win over a ranked opponent
