Wilson Shoots 71 in First Round

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University junior golfer Kaleb Wilson shot a 71 (+1) during the first round of the NCAA Regional at Poplar Grove Golf Course in Amherst, Virginia, on Sunday and into Monday morning.
Wilson is tied for 27th place after 18 holes. Weather-permitting, Wilson will tee off at 12:19 p.m. on Monday for the second round.
Wilson will play 54 holes against nine other individuals in the regional. The low individual not on an advancing team from each of the six regional sites will advance to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, in late May.
