
West Virginia Hosts No. 15 Texas Tech, Colorado in Final Home Action

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's tennis team hosts No. 15 Texas Tech and Colorado in its final home matches of the 2025 season this weekend.
West Virginia (7-14, 1-9 Big 12) faces Texas Tech at 11 a.m. ET on Friday, April 4. The Mountaineers will face Colorado on Sunday, April 6, at 11 a.m. Both matches will be at Summit Tennis Academy in Morgantown.

West Virginia's match against Colorado will serve as senior day, as five Mountaineers will be honored. Redshirt junior Maja Dodik, seniors Mille Haagensen, Tatiana Lipatova, Michaela Kucharova and Catherine Wassick will be honored following the match.
In its last outing, WVU picked up its first Big 12 Conference win of the season as it narrowly defeated Houston, 4-3. The Mountaineers then fell to UCF, 4-0.
Four players have won at least five singles matches this season, with graduate student Julie Bousseau leading the way with seven. Haagensen has six wins, Dodik and freshman Laura Villanueva Morillo each have five wins.
West Virginia has never beaten Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are the seventh ranked opponent WVU will face this season.
This will mark West Virginia's first meeting with Colorado in program history.
