Meredith Bolinger has been on the Student-Athlete Academic Services staff as an academic counselor for football since January 2025.
In this role, she is responsible for providing academic support in the areas of study skills, note taking, time management, test-taking strategies, personal and skill development and instruction in course work.
She monitors and documents the academic progress of the student-athletes, assists the students with course schedules and selecting academic majors and helps student-athletes with learning disabilities to acquire and use accommodations.
Bolinger joined the Student-Athletic Academic Services department as a graduate assistant in July 2023, working with the football program. She met with student-athletes to assist with planning and managing schoolwork throughout the week and provided resources for success through tutoring.
The Allen, Texas, native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise psychology from West Virginia in May 2023 and earned her master’s degree in sport management from West Virginia in December 2024.
While at West Virginia, Bolinger was a member of the swim and dive team from 2019-23 and served on the Mountaineer Leadership Council in spring 2021. She was honored as an Academic All-Big 12 First-Team member from 2021-23, named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll from 2020-23 and received the Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award in 2022 and 2023. Bolinger was a six-time President’s List honoree, earned Dean’s List honors and was a member of the Garrett Ford Academic Honor Roll.
