Andy Pham joined the Mountaineer football staff as an assistant athletic trainer in June 2025.
Pham came to West Virginia after serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for a year at Jacksonville State. In his role with the Gamecocks, he facilitated communication and coordination of care during football games and practices with fellow athletic trainers, physicians, chiropractors and paramedics. Pham also assisted with athletic training for the soccer, cheerleading and baseball teams.
Prior to his time at Jacksonville State, he spent the summer of 2023 with the Las Vegas Raiders as an athletic training intern. Pham managed inventory and restocking of medical equipment trucks. He also was involved with game and practice coverage, including wound care, injury management and communication of injuries to fellow medical staff.
Pham started his career as an athletic training student at Nebraska, working with the sports of football, wrestling, track and field and baseball and handling athletic training duties at area high schools.
The Scottsbluff, Nebraska, native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Nebraska in 2024 and will complete his master’s degree in human performance from Jacksonville State in the spring of 2026. Pham is certified in level two functional movement systems and level two selective functional movement.
