Thomas Sevel joined the West Virginia University tennis program as an assistant coach in July 2026.
Sevel most recently served as the head coach of the Louisiana men's tennis program after spending two seasons as an assistant coach with the Ragin' Cajuns. Prior to his time at Louisiana, he was a tennis professional at Claremont Country Club in Oakland, California.
He also served as a volunteer assistant coach with the Harvard women's tennis program and began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Temple University. Sevel also coached junior players with Paris West Tennis Academy and Odyssey Tennis Academy in France, as well as Legacy Youth Tennis in Philadelphia.
Sevel earned a Master of Science in sport business in 2021 after earning a Bachelor of Science in business management from Temple University in 2019.
