2026 Mountaineer GameDay Preseason Special

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Mountaineer GameDay returns this weekend to set the stage for an exciting season of WVU football.

Get the latest on the team's preparations and exclusive insight during the Mountaineer GameDay 2026 Preseason Special, hosted by Gold and Blue Nation's Nick Farrell, Sydney Cariel and Ryan Decker. Head coach Rich Rodriguez also will join the show to share a preseason progress report in an exclusive interview with veteran play-by-play announcer Tony Caridi.

The Mountaineer GameDay 2026 Preseason Special will air Friday and Saturday throughout West Virginia and in parts of neighboring states. Watch this one-hour special on the following stations at the following times:

Friday, Aug. 21

7 p.m. on WBOY-ABC (Clarksburg) and SportsNet Pittsburgh

Saturday, Aug. 22

9 a.m. on WOWK-CBS (Charleston) and WVNS-CBS (Beckley)
10 a.m. on WBOY-NBC (Clarksburg), WTRF-CBS (Wheeling) and DC News Now
7 p.m. on WBOY-NBC (Clarksburg)

Fans can also watch Mountaineer GameDay every Saturday morning before West Virginia football games this season. Live pregame coverage will begin on game days at 10 a.m. on WBOY, WOWK, WTRF, WVNS and DC News Now, and continue at 11 a.m. on SportsNet Pittsburgh. (Airtimes for Mountaineer GameDay: Utah Edition will be announced later this season.)
