
Final Home Meet Brings Multiple Wins for WVU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team hosted the WVU Last Chance Meet on Saturday in Morgantown, earning several event wins and strong performances across the board.
Lily Haught led the way on the track, winning the 100-meter hurdles in 15.11 and placing second in the 200 meters. In the 200m, Izayah Everett finished third (25.73), followed by Eva Craigie in fourth (25.95) and Sierra Heisey in sixth (27.11).
In the 400 meters, Audrey Thomas placed third with a time of 1:00.79.
The middle-distance group was highlighted by Mary Delaney, who won the 800 meters in 2:10.62. Aislinn Frazer finished second (2:14.01), while Eva Rinker (5th, 2:17.78) and Audrey Hall (6th, 2:19.41) rounded out the event.
In the field, Eva Craigie placed second in the long jump with a mark of 5.59 meters, followed by Sabria Jones in fourth (5.40m). In the high jump, Annishka McDonald won the event at 1.70 meters, with Olivia Cress finishing second at 1.65 meters.
Next up, the Mountaineers will travel to Tucson, Arizona, for the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, May 14-16.
