
Naukot Sets School Record at Bryan Clay Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia turned in several top performances at the Bryan Clay Invitational, highlighted by a school record from Joy Naukot in the 5,000 meters.
Naukot placed fifth in the invitational section, crossing in 15:12.74 to set a new WVU outdoor school record.
Mercy Kinyanjui added a third-place finish in the 5,000 meters (15:29.78), moving to No. 2 all-time in program history.
In the 10,000 meters, Emily Bryce placed 10th in 33:03.35, the No. 2 outdoor time in program history, while Lexi Lamb finished 17th in 33:37.41 to rank No. 5 all-time.
Ronis Chelangat added a 12th-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:21.98), while Kishay Rowe placed 15th in the 800 meters (2:04.03).
West Virginia returns to action April 23-25 at the Penn Relays.
