
Moura, McDonald Post Wins as WVU Splits Weekend Meets

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia split squads over the weekend, competing at the Marty Pushkin Invitational in Morgantown and the USF Alumni Invitational in Tampa.
At USF, Annishka McDonald led the Mountaineers with a first place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.82 meters. The mark ranks second all-time in WVU outdoor history.
Kishay Rowe posted a fourth place finish in the 800 meters (2:06.41), while Mary Delaney placed third in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:29.09. Delaney also added an 11th place finish in the 800 (2:11.91).
In the field events, Olivia Cress led WVU in the long jump with a 13th place mark of 5.66 meters and placed seventh in the high jump (1.70m).
At the Marty Pushkin Invitational, Tatiana Moura won the 1,500 meters in 4:41.69, followed by Aislinn Frazer in second (4:42.07). Eva Rinker added a runner-up finish in the 800 meters (2:18.38).
Mae Nelson placed second in the 400 meters (58.59), while Audrey Thomas finished sixth (1:00.46). Sierra Heisey recorded a ninth place finish in the 200 meters (26.40).
West Virginia will return to action March 26-28 at the Raleigh Relays.
