
West Virginia Wraps Up Weekend at Raleigh Relays

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team concluded competition at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday afternoon at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Redshirt sophomore Izayah Everett earned a personal best time of 25.01 in the 200 meters.
On Friday, freshman Naomi Kemboi broke West Virginia's 5,000-meter record after finishing with a time of 15:39.17, claiming sixth place. Additionally, graduate student Sarah Tait become the second fastest Mountaineer ever in the event after posting a time of 15:40.00, finishing seventh overall.
Next, WVU will split the weekend on April 4-5 at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational in Fairfax, Virginia and the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, California.
