
McCabe Set to Compete at NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Graduate student Ceili McCabe of the West Virginia University track and field team returns to the NCAA Indoor Championships for the third straight year on March 15. This year's indoor championship will be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
McCabe is scheduled to compete in the women's 3,000 meters at approximately 4 p.m. ET.
The championship can be viewed live on ESPN+, while live results will be available at WVUsports.com.
The Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, native ranks No. 3 in the Big 12, No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic region and No. 10 nationally in the 3,000 meters. McCabe posted a career and program-record time of 8:45.97 in the event on Dec. 7 at the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
Last time out, McCabe earned a first-place finish in the 3,000 meters at the Big 12 Indoor Championships on March 1, with a time of 9:07.56. Additionally, the graduate student aided in WVU's distance medley relay win as the team of McCabe, classmate Sarah Tait, sophomore Kishay Rowe and freshman Carlene Temple shattered the meet record with a time of 11:09.42.
The pair of Big 12 indoor titles marked the fourth and fifth for McCabe, respectively.
McCabe makes her fourth appearance at the indoor championship, after finishing sixth nationally in the women's mile at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championship. With her 4:29.26 mile finish, she earned her eighth All-America honor. McCabe now holds nine All-America honors across her collegiate cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field careers.
