
WVU Ranks 22nd in Directors’ Cup Final Fall Standings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – With all fall sports completed, West Virginia University currently stands in 22nd place in the 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup standings.
The Mountaineers compiled 169 points this fall – 69 in cross country, 50 in men's soccer and 50 in women's soccer.
West Virginia is the fourth-highest ranked Big 12 school in the current standings: BYU (5th), Colorado (6th), Iowa State (17th), West Virginia (22nd), Oklahoma State (23rd), TCU (35th), Kansas (37th), Baylor (43rd), UCF (50th), Utah (62nd), Arizona State (87th), Arizona (109th), Kansas State (109th), Texas Tech (109th), Cincinnati (129th) and Houston (NR).
Last year, WVU finished 42nd in the final standings, the fifth-best finish in school history.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
